About John Carrigan
John Carrigan started his own company, CARRIGAN COMMUNICATIONS, in 1992 after a successful career as a copywriter and creative group head at a number of leading ad agencies. In the years since, he has put his marketing and advertising skills to work in creating ads, direct mail packages, brochures, annual reports, sales videos, websites and advertorials for a list of clients that include AT&T, Fairchild Publications, Time, Newsweek, Fortune, the Cancer Research Institute, World Health Direct and a number of law firms in the New York City area.
Mr. Carrigan started his career at D'Arcy Advertising in New York, where he wrote copy for clients like Taylor Wines, Mercedes Benz and Lufthansa German Airlines. He held writing and supervisory positions at Compton Advertising (P&G brands, Jeep 4 wheel-drive vehicles); W.B. Doner & Co. (Commercial Credit Corporation); and Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, now Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was a Vice President/Creative Group Head on Beneficial Finance, CPC Best Foods and Wrangler Jeans.
Mr. Carrigan is the winner of numerous industry awards including The Communicator Award of Excellence; the Telly Award; the New York Art Director's Club Excellence and Merit Awards; and a Gold EFFIE. His commercials for Mazola Margarine were included in Advertising Age's 100 Best. He was named one of the Outstanding Creative People in America by AD/DAY USA, and listed in Who's Who in the East. Mr. Carrigan is an active member of the Direct Marketing Club of New York.
